BRIEF:

I was approached to design the logo for an emerging medical marijuana brand named Mids. The client, and owner, had strong ties to graffiti and street culture through his roots as a professional BMX rider. He wanted to bring a street feel to an up-market brand that would be considered a connoisseur of high quality marijuana.

SOLUTION:

After going through an initial discovery phase with the client, we settled on a script logotype direction. The goal was to maintain a level of street culture whilst presenting the brand as gourmet and luxury. The elegant script is peppered with imperfections, to almost resemble a graffiti tag that was rushed on to a wall. The logo was designed to look high-end on packaging but cool enough for customers to wear on a T-shirt or hoodie.
